Doing our Bit for Green

workspace2

Green and Eco have not admittedly been at the top of our agenda; however we are aware of doing our bit in creating a workspace that is kind to the environment. Our coworking space was designed and built by Marcus Kilpatrick, who made sure that we had a low carbon footprint by using locally sourced recycled material for the furniture, including our work-lounge. All lights are turned off at the end of the day and in spaces that are not in use, we have a think before you print policy, which reduces member’s paper waste significantly, we provide free bike racks, and finally we recycle our paper by turning them into notepads.

These are not points that will revolutionise the way people work, however we feel that a lot of little things eventually do add up. The truth of the matter is that it’s expensive for small business or start-up to go completely green, however doing what you can, will make a difference, especially if we all pitch in.

Happy Earth Week

Hot desk space in London for entrepreneurs

workspace3

THECUBE has different workspaces which allows members to choose how the would like to work, providing affordable hot desk space in London.

The space is mainly white with apple green accents, making the space look and feel fresh. When designing the space we wanted to create a work environment that people would love and feel proud to be in.

The lighting, furniture, and colours stimulate concentration and productivity, which is great when starting a new business. Membership to our coworking space starts at £5 per month for those wanting to keep in touch with our community and up to £195 per month for those seeking permanent workspace.

The whole space is open plan and we do not have separate office spaces, if you would like further information, please call us on 02073779279.

CUBEBLOG: When The Doubts Creep In

There are times when growing your own company you feel drained and begin to get that funny feeling in the pit of your stomach. The alarm bells begin to go off and you think, ‘am I doing the right thing’? It’s in those moments that you have to step back and see what you have already accomplished, I guess it’s a bit like seeing the glass half full instead of half empty.

THECUBE is going to be six months on the 22nd of March and the initial vision of creating a coworking space that would bring together different industries under the umbrella of creativity, seems to be taking shape. When you look around and all you see are office spaces, or hot desk spaces, part of you thinks, ‘yup, we are going to change the way people work and do business’ and at times you thinks ‘maybe people don’t want a change? So what is the secret of getting rid of all those doubts? You keep on going. Like a runner breathing through a painful cramp, you have got to take a deep breath and keep going.

You also have to saviour all the moments, not matter how small they are. Celebrate every new client, pat yourself on the back every time you solve a problem, and go back and visit your original vision. These little things give affirmation that you are doing the right thing and that you will get better and better.

Those moments of doubt will always creep in, but you get faster at dismissing them and learn to focus on the positives.
